We are seeking an experienced Housing professional to join a reputable Housing Association in Islington as a Homeownership Officer. This role involves delivering high‑quality leasehold and homeowner support within a busy portfolio, making a real difference to residents and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing homeowner enquiries including covenant breaches, anti‑social behaviour (ASB), and lease‑hold questions
- Coordinating repairs and estate services through liaising with contractors and managing agents
- Processing staircasing, resales, lease extensions, and Right to Acquire applications
- Assisting with service charge calculations and statutory Section 20 consultations
- Welcoming new residents and ensuring a smooth onboarding process
- Monitoring communal areas and neighbourhood standards, ensuring health and safety compliance
- Recording all customer contact accurately on the housing management system
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Homeownership, Leasehold, or Housing Officer role within the housing sector
- Strong knowledge of leasehold management and affordable housing policies
- Experience with housing management systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and solution‑focused approach
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise workloads
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship‑building skills
