An opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV Technician to join a Local Authority on a temp-to-perm basis in Rotherham. Working a 37‑hour week with sociable daytime hours, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnostics, repairs and MOT preparation to ensure vehicle availability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of fault diagnosis
- Carry out periodic safety inspections to DVSA inspection manual standards
- Complete PDI inspections
- Conduct decommissioning inspections and repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT
- Present vehicles for annual MOT inspections
- Carry out repairs to minimise vehicle downtime
