Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Central London for a Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will support the processing and reconciliation of funding payments to schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing funding and supplier payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining and updating SAP records, financial data, and payment schedules, reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Communicating with schools regarding payments, queries, and financial information.
  • Supporting reporting and administrative finance tasks as required, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures and audit requirements.

Candidate Criteria:

  • 2 years’ experience in a finance role within local authority or school setting.
  • Knowledgeable on IT, including Excel and with minimum 1 year experience using SAP.
  • Effective communicator and ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
