Service Care Solutions are currently seeking a dedicated Family Time Worker to join a dynamic team on an initial 3-month contract basis with a view to this being extended on an ongoing basis. This opportunity offers an engaging role within a local authority, focusing on safeguarding and family support services.
As a Family Time Worker your main responsibility will be to facilitate and support positive contact arrangements between children and their families. The role involves travel across County Durham and neighbouring Local Authorities, ensuring children maintain meaningful relationships safely and effectively. This role requires flexibility, as start and end times may vary depending on demand, with a guaranteed 30 hours per week and offering a pay rate of £13.26 per hour.
Candidate Responsibilities:- Organise and supervise child contact sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Travel throughout County Durham and neighbouring Local Authorities as required.
- Adapt working hours to meet the needs of the service, maintaining flexibility with start/end times.
- Work independently as a lone worker, demonstrating sound judgement and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of contact sessions and interactions, documenting relevant information.
- Utilise knowledge of Liquid Logic case management system (beneficial but not mandatory).
- Engage effectively with children, families, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Relevant experience working with children and families.
- Knowledge or experience of Liquid Logic case management system (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible working hours.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
