Fantastic opportunity to join a leading Housing Association supporting older people in a welcoming Extra Care setting in Whitfield, Dover.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Extra Care Scheme Assistant to support the Scheme Manager in delivering high-quality housing management and resident engagement services.
- Assist with all aspects of housing management across the scheme
- Develop and maintain a varied and inclusive activities programme
- Provide a thorough settling-in service for new residents
- Ensure health and safety and fire checks are completed to a high standard
- Collaborate with resident involvement teams to enhance community engagement
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support tenant wellbeing
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with policy
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a housing, support or care environment and a genuine interest in working with older people.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and bespoke ICT systems
- Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with a wide range of people
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems
- Physically able to respond to emergencies and move around a scheme with stairs
THE CONTRACT
- 21 Hours per week – 2pm–6pm Tuesday to Friday, 8am–1pm Saturday
- 3 Month Contract, Temp to Perm Opportunity
- The pay for the role is £16.31 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £14.00 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
- Flexibility is required for training or emergency cover. Lunch allowance paid if unable to leave site during additional hours.
- Own transport is desirable but not essential if you can reliably commute to the scheme on time.
- Enhanced DBS check required (provided and paid for by the employer).
