Experienced Children's Social Worker – Safeguarding

Job Type: Permanent | 6 & 12 Month Fixed-Term Contracts Available

Service Care Solutions are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Tameside Council for 14 experienced Children's Social Workers to join their highly regarded Safeguarding Service.

The Role

  • As an Experienced Social Worker within the Safeguarding Service, you will:
  • Manage a varied caseload of children subject to Child Protection, Child in Need and Court proceedings.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families.
  • Lead and contribute to Public and Private Law proceedings.
  • Develop and implement effective child protection and care plans.
  • Complete statutory visits and reviews.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
  • Prepare high-quality court reports and present evidence where required.
  • Maintain accurate case records and meet statutory timescales.
  • Participate in regular reflective supervision and ongoing professional development.
  • Work within Social Work England professional standards and Tameside's restorative practice model.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have

  • Social Work England registration.
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.

• Strong experience of

  • Child Protection Court Work Public & Private Law Proceedings Safeguarding
  • Excellent assessment, report writing and communication skills.
  • Working Arrangements

Flexible working hours to meet service needs.
