Locum Opportunity

Location: Ellesmere Port

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 6 Weeks initially, with ongoing locum opportunities

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (Part-time applicants also considered)

Rate: From £32 per hour

Payment: Via Umbrella, deemed payment, or PAYE only

We are recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join a GP Surgery in Ellesmere Port on a locum basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine general practice nursing care to patients attending the surgery.
  • Manage chronic disease clinics.
  • Provide contraception and sexual health advice.
  • Carry out cervical screening (smears).
  • Assess and treat minor illness and minor injuries.
  • Deliver travel health advice and vaccinations.
  • Administer childhood immunisations.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through patient education.
  • Undertake routine treatment room duties.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Previous experience working within a GP Practice.
  • Competent in chronic disease management, cervical cytology, immunisations, and treatment room duties.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Available to start ASAP.
