Our client is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to lead and support our Finance and Commercial Directorate.

About the Role As the DSG Consultant Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of financial accountants, finance assistants, and trainees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

This 5-month contract is based in our client, with hybrid working arrangements, offering a collaborative environment where your leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen will be valued.
Responsibilities Lead and manage the Finance and Commercial team, promoting high standards of performance, standards, and accountability.
Implement and monitor financial strategies aligned with council priorities, ensuring value for money and budgetary compliance.
Provide robust financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
Work collaboratively across departments, partners, and stakeholders to improve service delivery and financial management.
Oversee statutory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and CIPFA standards.
Develop commercial opportunities and contribute to innovative service delivery models.
Facilitate change and transformation initiatives, embedding continuous improvement processes.
Support budget preparation, monitoring, and year-end processes, advising managers on financial implications.
