Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Depot Supervisor on behalf of a local authority client based in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor with experience in waste management, street cleansing, or environmental services to join a busy operational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of recycling, refuse, and street cleansing services
- Ensuring services are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Organising and conducting scheduled monitoring of staff to ensure compliance
- Responding to and resolving customer complaints in line with council procedures
- Liaising with councillors, officers, and internal departments to maintain service standards
- Communicating professionally with members of the public and promoting a positive council image
- Monitoring operational costs and supporting purchasing activities
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are used and maintained correctly
- Producing accurate operational and performance reports
- Monitoring work quality, team performance, and overseeing agency staff usage
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising operational teams within waste management, street cleansing, or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and operational best practice
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage workloads and resolve issues effectively
- Full UK driving license required
