Location: Gloucester (Shire Hall – office based initially)

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Contract: Initial 7 months (with potential extension to September next year)

Working Arrangement: First 2 months fully office-based (5 days per week at Shire Hall, Gloucester). Hybrid working may be considered after initial 2 months.

Pay: £17.64 per hour (Umbrella)/£13.69 per hour (PAYE) Grade dependent on experience.

About the Role

Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a Commissioning Broker to join a fast-paced and impactful team supporting adults and children’s care services. Key Responsibilities

  • Support safe and timely hospital discharges in collaboration with partner agencies
  • Manage a varied and sometimes complex caseload
  • Commission and source appropriate care packages and placements

  • Monitor provider performance and ensure quality standards are met
