Locum Children's Social Worker – Safeguarding & Support

Are you an experienced and passionate Children’s Social Worker looking for your next opportunity? Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services, recently rated ‘Good’ in their full ILACS Ofsted inspection, are seeking a skilled Agency Social Worker to join their Safeguarding and Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing and supportive team dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex safeguarding, child protection and court work cases working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Safeguarding, Child Protection and Court Work
  • SWE registered Car driver with access to a vehicle
  • Experience with Protocol Liquid Logic is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team

  • Flexible hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days per week office-based
