Role
The role of Registered Manager involves taking full responsibility for day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are consistently achieved. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the home through Ofsted registration and inspection readiness
- Building and developing a stable, motivated, child‑focused team
- Creating a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment for young people
- Maintaining high‑quality care standards in line with Ofsted regulations
- Developing policies, procedures, risk assessments and compliance documentation
- Building strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Driving positive outcomes and continuous improvement across the service
About You
We’re looking for a confident and proactive leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people. To be considered you should have:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People’s Services)
- Previous experience managing EBD children’s homes or similar settings
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
- Experience setting up new homes and managing compliance processes
- Excellent leadership, communication and staff development skills
- The ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and support
