Are you an experienced Childcare Social Worker looking for a challenging and rewarding contract opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Social Worker to join our Children In Need (CIN) team based in our client.
As a Childcare Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children in need, working on court cases, and child protection matters. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication, and a strong understanding of statutory procedures. The successful candidate will bring at least 3 years of permanent post-qualifying experience, particularly in court work and child protection settings.
Candidate Responsibilities for Childcare Social Worke
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 children in need cases within our client city.
- Conduct assessments, statutory visits, and statutory reports.
- Attend court hearings and provide expert testimony when required.
- Collaborate closely with family members, carers, and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Work as part of a hybrid team, with team on-site on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, adaptable to team manager’s discretion.
- Potentially work outside of regular hours for urgent or out-of-hours duties.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements for Childcare Social Worker
- Minimum of 3 years of permanent post-qualifying experience.
- Proven experience in court work and child protection.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Valid social work qualification and registration.
