Pay: £230 PAYE – £300 Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35)

Our client, a leading Local Authority in Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a significant highways maintenance programme across the county. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑profile infrastructure programme, working within a dedicated winter readiness workstream and supporting the delivery of preventative highway maintenance initiatives across an extensive network.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of winter readiness and preventative highway maintenance programmes
  • Coordinating district‑wide maintenance works programmes
  • Working collaboratively with streetworks teams and external contractors
  • Assisting with programme planning, monitoring, and reporting
  • Ensuring works are delivered efficiently and to agreed timescales
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement activities where required
  • Conducting site visits and inspections as necessary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within highway maintenance
  • Experience supporting infrastructure or highways projects/programmes
