Job: Business Support Assistant
Location: Nottingham – Sutton-in-Ashfield
Hours: 37 per week (Full-time; part-time/job share considered)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Assistant to join our team, providing essential administrative, clerical, and financial support to ensure the delivery of high-quality adult social care.
Based at Lawn View House, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to public service by supporting vulnerable adults within a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of administrative, clerical, and financial tasks under senior staff guidance.
- Manage and manipulate sensitive information and produce complex reports as needed.
- Input and verify data accurately and confidentially, especially regarding safeguarding concerns.
- Handle telephone queries and provide guidance to colleagues, service users, and partner organizations.
- Support finance processes such as raising orders, reconciling accounts, resolving queries, and handling cash.
- Organize meetings and events, including minute-taking and tracking actions.
- Perform reception duties, greet visitors, and respond to general enquiries professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent IT skills, including experience with spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting business functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and stay motivated.
- Experience in minute-taking and information management.
- Customer service experience with a helpful, solutions-focused approach.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to various tasks.
Person Specification
- Educated to NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy.
- Committed to customer care, service improvement, and high-quality outcomes.
- Experience working within policies and processes, emphasizing accuracy and compliance.
