- Children Social Worker – Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams.
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of children in accordance with safeguarding policies.
- Managing caseloads effectively within deadlines and statutory requirements.
- Attending child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as needed.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and family members.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records in line with statutory standards.
- Children Social Worker – Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working within Children’s Services, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Family Assessments.
- Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across different locations within Lancashire.

- This is an ongoing temporary contract for 12weeks , with pay rates as follows:
Up to £39.00 per hour via Umbrella (£30.58 per hour PAYE).
