Children Social Worker – Contract Position Are you an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for a rewarding contract opportunity?

  • Children Social Worker – Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to determine needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-agency teams.
  • Ensuring the safety and welfare of children in accordance with safeguarding policies.
  • Managing caseloads effectively within deadlines and statutory requirements.
  • Attending child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as needed.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and family members.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive case records in line with statutory standards.
  • Children Social Worker – Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Previous experience working within Children’s Services, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Family Assessments.
  • Strong assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work across different locations within Lancashire.

  • This is an ongoing temporary contract for 12weeks , with pay rates as follows:

Up to £39.00 per hour via Umbrella (£30.58 per hour PAYE).
