Registered Manager – EBD Children\'s Home (Reopening) – Area Camden
Are you an experienced Children\'s Residential Registered Manager looking to lead the reopening of a brand-new EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children\'s home in Camden?
This role focuses on building the home from the ground up, shaping its culture, team, and standards to deliver excellent care for young people aged 9 to 17.
Responsibilities
- Lead the reopening and registration process of the children\'s home, subject to Ofsted approval
- Ensure safeguarding and the welfare of all children and young people
- Recruit, train, and develop a therapeutic and resilient staff team
- Manage daily operations, including staff rotas and on-call duties
- Maintain compliance with all statutory regulations and quality standards
- Build strong relationships with placing authorities, families, and external professionals
- Drive continuous improvement, uphold Camden\'s standards, and promote a positive home environment
- Candidate Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up
- 2–3+ years in a managerial role within children\'s residential care
- Extensive experience working with children with EBD
- NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Leadership and management qualification or willingness to undertake
- Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, and Children\'s Homes Regulations 2015
- Ability to lead teams confidently and professionally
- Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £52,000 basic (up to £58,600 with bonuses)
- Realistic earning potential up to £58,600
- Company car or £3,000 annual travel allowance
- £300-per-month full occupancy bonus
- Ofsted bonus: £3,000 for Outstanding, £1,500 for Good
- 32 days annual leave including bank holidays (rising by 1 day per year for the first 3 years)

- 40 hours per week, with flexible rota management and on-call responsibilities
