Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor (Property Partner) to join a forward‑thinking Local Authority within their Corporate Landlord Asset Strategy Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a strategic property function responsible for shaping and managing the Council’s operational property portfolio, helping to ensure assets remain fit for purpose while delivering long‑term value and efficiencies.
Role
Worked within the Corporate Landlord Service, you will act as the strategic property lead for a range of Council services, developing strong relationships with stakeholders and producing Service Asset Management Plans that support future service delivery.
You will provide expert estates advice, identify opportunities for rationalisation, acquisitions and disposals, and lead property projects from inception through to completion.
The role offers a combination of strategic estate management, commercial property advice and leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of operational Council assets.
- Develop and deliver Service Asset Management Plans.
- Lead estate rationalisation projects.
- Manage freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals.
- Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and portfolio optimisation.
- Deliver property solutions aligned to Council objectives.
- Build strong relationships across Council services.
- Line‑manage Property Managers.
- Monitor property performance and support long‑term asset strategies.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified.
- Significant Estates or Corporate Property Management experience.
- Experience managing large operational property portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of acquisitions, disposals and estate management.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering asset management strategies.
- Previous Local Authority, Public Sector or Corporate Estate experience highly desirable.
- Experience leading or mentoring staff.
