Senior Building Surveyor (Education)

Location: South West Based Council Type: Permanent Position Salary: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum Working: Hybrid Working available

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a well-established Local Authority within the Corporate Landlord team, managing a diverse portfolio of education buildings across the borough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take ownership of planned maintenance, refurbishment and capital improvement projects across schools and educational facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Undertake condition surveys and prepare specifications.
  • Manage NEC4 building contracts.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance.
  • Oversee external contractors and consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and building legislation.
  • Support asset management planning across the education estate.
  • Provide technical building surveying advice to internal departments.
  • Use asset management and CAFM systems including Job Logic, Concerto and SFG20.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or related discipline.
  • Eligible for Corporate Membership of CIOB or equivalent professional body.
  • Experience delivering building maintenance and refurbishment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building contracts and project management.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations.
  • Experience managing budgets and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience within Local Government, Education, NHS or Housing highly desirable.
