Role
As a Duty & Assessment Social Worker, you will be an essential part of our busy locality teams, supporting children and families using a restorative and relational-based practice approach. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Providing frontline assessment and intervention for children and families.
- Supporting children through Public Proceedings, Pre-Proceedings, Child Protection, and Child in Need cases.
- Working at pace to meet the needs of children and ensure their safety and stability.
- Developing and implementing care plans aligned with legal proceedings and best outcomes.
- Collaborating with colleagues, partners, and families to deliver consistent, child-centred support.
- Embracing change and adapting to the dynamic environment of social care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a social worker with knowledge of Public Proceedings, Pre-Proceedings, Child Protection, and Child in Need.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to best interests of children and families.
