We are currently recruiting for a Lettings Service Assistant to join a busy and fast‑paced housing team on an initial 6‑month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service experience within social housing or property services who is looking to develop their experience within lettings and tenancy management. The successful candidate will support the Lettings Team with a wide range of administrative, operational and customer‑focused duties to ensure properties are let efficiently and services are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day‑to‑day administrative support to the Lettings team.
  • Responding to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Supporting tenancy administration including council tax notifications and utility management.
  • Advertising available properties across relevant platforms.
  • Processing referrals and supporting allocations activity.
  • Reviewing Homeswapper applications and affordable rent assessments.
  • Managing communal keys and fobs.
  • Completing local authority and CORE returns.
  • Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets and housing data.
  • Supporting compliance with safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within social housing, lettings, housing administration or property services.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service ability.
  • Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of housing processes, allocations or tenancy management would be advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent desirable.
