Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected law firm in Beverley for a Legal Secretary to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

Location: Beverley – Office Based

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners.
  • Prepare, format, amend, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and case files.
  • Manage solicitors' diaries, arrange appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and time recording processes.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, including AML and compliance checks.
  • Liaise with clients professionally via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
  • Always handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Undertake document management, scanning, filing, and database updates.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and internal firm procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.

About you

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Legal Secretary.
  • Previous Litigation experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent typing and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a busy team.
  • Knowledge of legal processes, compliance requirements, and client care standards.
