Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Facilities Compliance Officer to join a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire on a 6‑month temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to support the council in ensuring its property portfolio remains safe, compliant and maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Role
- Undertake planned statutory compliance inspections across council buildings.
- Inspect Legionella controls, asbestos management, fire safety systems, emergency escape routes and M&E plant.
- Identify non‑compliance and raise remedial actions via the CAFM system.
- Escalate any life safety issues requiring immediate attention.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with contractors, site staff and facilities management teams.
- Support the council in maintaining compliance across its property portfolio.
- Candidate
- Previous experience carrying out statutory compliance inspections within a facilities or estates environment.
- Knowledge of Legionella, Fire Safety, Asbestos and Mechanical & Electrical compliance.
- Experience using CAFM systems (or similar facilities management software).
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel across Nottingham.

This is a full‑time, 6‑month contract based in Nottingham, working Monday to Friday with early morning starts.
