General Maintenance Operative
We're looking for a skilled and customer-focused General Maintenance Operative to join our Repairs & Maintenance team.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll be the first response to damp and mould cases, carrying out repairs and remedial works that help us meet our responsibilities under Awaab's Law.
- What you’ll do
- Respond to damp and mould cases and carry out first‑response repairs.
- Diagnose and complete minor repairs, including basic leak repairs.
- Undertake mould treatments and remedial works.
- Carry out general maintenance to occupied and void properties.
- Support void property turnaround with tasks including: Lock changes.
- Minor plumbing, carpentry and decorating repairs.
- Property clearances.
- Making homes safe and ready to let.
- What you’ll bring
- Experience in property maintenance or building repairs.
- A trade background in Carpentry, Plumbing or Painting & Decorating.
- Multi‑skilled maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of basic building defects, leaks and damp issues.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
