Service Care Solutions is recruiting an experienced Event Coordinator to work as a Contributions Coordinator for a public sector client in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Job Purpose
To scale up the successful “Cheshire Contribution” pilot projects that revitalise green and open spaces across the county, enabling people seeking asylum to visibly contribute to local communities and supporting social cohesion through volunteering and co‑design.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead the planning, delivery and on‑site coordination of Cheshire Contribution events and projects.
- Ensure efficient processes, including day‑of event management and task completion.
- Produce an operational guide: checklists, inductions, safety protocols and risk assessments.
- Arrange and confirm equipment and resources needed to complete tasks.
- Develop marketing materials and support promotion to attract stakeholders, local communities and volunteers.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers and local residents; identify local hosts and convenors and maintain ongoing liaison.
- Build relationships with local authorities, public bodies and partners to co‑create high‑visibility projects.
- Act as the single point of contact for the programme, advising participants and partner agencies.
- Track outcomes and produce reports and case studies, supporting communications activity and key messaging.
Essential Experience
- Educated to Level 4 (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Significant experience coordinating events and activities end‑to‑end.
- Experience recruiting, working with volunteers and engaging community stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail, including safe working practices.
