Service Care Solutions are proud to be recruiting for an experienced ADHD/Autism Nurse to join a purpose-driven neurodevelopmental service transforming autism and ADHD care across the South West of England. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to high-quality diagnostic assessments for children and young people. This hybrid role combines remote developmental history interviews with face‑to‑face structured observations at clinic bases. Through Service Care Solutions, you’ll join an innovative organisation that embraces digital workflows, smart report‑writing tools and a custom‑built electronic health record system to reduce admin time and maximise clinical impact. Ongoing training, IT support and a collaborative culture ensure you are fully supported at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive face‑to‑face specialist assessments including diagnostic assessments of individuals with suspected Autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools.
- Assessments of mental health conditions may also be required.
- The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner.
- Produce accurate, high‑quality clinical reports and formulations using smart tools.
- Meet service KPIs through effective caseload management.
- Provide clinical supervision (where applicable).
- Travel to clinic bases for in‑person assessments (hybrid roles).
Qualifications
- NMC registered nurse.
- Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training as below.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Experience in conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with children and/or adults.
- Experience working with children and/or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of DSM‑5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD.
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis.
- Ideally ADOS‑2/ADI‑R trained.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in report writing and record keeping.
- Additional qualifications in relevant areas of Autism and/or ADHD.
