Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Recycling Delivery Driver to support waste and recycling services across the County Borough. This is a physically active outdoor role involving the delivery, exchange, collection, and preparation of recycling containers and wheeled bins for residential and commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and contributing to sustainable waste management and environmental services.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver, exchange, and remove wheeled bins and recycling containers in response to service requests
- Safely load and unload recycling containers and wheeled bins onto vehicles
- Wash and prepare bins and recycling containers for reuse and redistribution
- Dismantle damaged bins for disposal by removing wheels and lids
- Maintain safe working practices while carrying out manual handling duties
- Travel to different locations across the County Borough as required
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public
- Full valid UK driving licence essential
- GCSE level education or equivalent
- Understanding of recycling, waste management, and environmental issues
- Good communication skills in English
- Welsh language skills desirable
- Basic IT skills including email and word processing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in customer service or community engagement desirable
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions
