Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Principal Auditor to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will assist the Head of Internal Audit, Risk Management and Investigations (HIA) and Internal Audit manager in the development, implementation and delivery of the Council’s Annual Internal Audit strategy.

The Principal Auditor will deliver high quality audit outcomes that combine independent, objective and accurate assurance statements with helpful and value adding recommendations, advice and counsel to clients.

Candidate Criteria

  • IIA Qualified or Part-Qualified is desirable but other Accountancy qualifications will be considered
  • Experience of risk based internal auditing within a Local Government environment
  • Experience of developing and implementing a risk based audit plan
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
