A local authority in North West London is seeking a Locum Employment Lawyer to support their legal team with an increased workload. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment solicitor to work on a varied and interesting caseload within the public sector.
Role: Locum Employment Lawyer
Location: North West London / hybrid
Rate: GBP40–GBP50ph umbrella / GBP44.11ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / GBP39.36ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
Contract: Initial 3 months (with potential extension). Please note that this role would be in office 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of employment law matters arising from workforce issues
- Advising on TUPE, unfair dismissal, and employment tribunal claims
- Handling employment matters linked to education, including schools-related issues
- Providing practical, timely legal advice to HR and senior stakeholders
- Supporting the team with an overflow of employment work as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Strong experience in employment law, including tribunal work
- Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Local authority experience desirable but not essential
