Service Care Legal are partnered with a Legal 500-ranked law firm in East London to recruit a Housing Solicitor to join its highly regarded Housing Team. The firm is well known for its work in housing law and has acted in a number of leading cases in the field. The team is recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners and is committed to protecting and advancing housing rights.

ROLE: Housing Solicitor

LOCATION: East London

SALARY: Β£35,000 to Β£50,000+ per annum (DOE / PQE / interview)

PQE: 3 years+

Please note that this role offers hybrid working.

The Role:

  • Handling a varied caseload including homelessness, possession (rented and mortgaged), disrepair, unlawful eviction and social housing allocation matters.
  • Advising and representing clients in complex and sensitive housing cases, including related community care and mental health matters.
  • Working as part of a specialist, collaborative team on high-quality and impactful work.

The Candidate:

  • Qualified solicitor with 3+ years' PQE and solid experience in housing law.
  • Strong technical knowledge and a client-focused approach, particularly when acting for vulnerable individuals.
  • Committed to housing rights, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
