One of the largest Housing Associations is recruiting for a Scheme Manager to oversee two older people's housing schemes in South Norwood (SE25), ensuring the smooth operation of housing services and promoting residents' well-being and independence.

THE ROLE

  • Deliver high-quality housing services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents.
  • Carry out compliance testing, risk assessments, and scheme inspections, ensuring faults are reported and addressed.
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance services, ensuring contractor performance meets required standards.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintaining accurate records and supporting resales.
  • Build and manage relationships with residents, service providers, and key stakeholders.
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and well-being by signposting local community services.
  • Assist the Housing Officer in monitoring budgets and income recovery.
  • Handle complaints and resolve issues at the first point of contact where possible.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience in a similar Scheme Manager role within older people's housing or supported housing.
  • Strong knowledge of housing services, compliance, and risk assessments.
  • Experience working with older people in a support capacity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents and stakeholders.
  • IT proficiency, including housing management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Full, current driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between schemes.

THE CONTRACT

  • Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
  • 3-month contract
  • £16.76 per hour LTD / £14.29 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
