Are you passionate about supporting individuals in supported housing to achieve stability and independence? A National Charity is seeking a Housing Support Worker in Grantham to assist vulnerable tenants with housing-related support and tenancy management.
THE ROLE
- Engaging with referral agencies, statutory bodies, and third-sector organizations to generate service referrals.
- Conducting initial assessments of service users, identifying needs, risks, and suitability for the service.
- Developing and delivering tailored support plans, ensuring outcomes are monitored and reviewed regularly.
- Maintaining regular contact with service users and acting as a positive role model.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring personal and service user safety.
- Supporting tenants with housing management duties, including rent account monitoring, support planning, and accurate record-keeping.
- Carrying out health and safety inspections of the building and ensuring compliance.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable individuals within a supported housing or social care setting. You will also have:
- Experience providing direct support to individuals in a housing setting.
- Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, housing management, and welfare benefits.
- Strong record-keeping skills, including monitoring rent accounts and support plans.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and ensuring service user safety.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with external agencies.
THE CONTRACT
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. 3-month contract, with potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity. £16.09 per hour (LTD) / £13.72 per hour (PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay).
