Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic abuse? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected Housing Association providing floating support services in Hereford.

THE ROLE

  • We are looking for a dedicated female Housing Support Worker to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred support to survivors of domestic abuse in the community.
  • Manage a caseload of clients living in temporary accommodation, supporting move-on to safe, permanent housing.
  • Deliver one-to-one and group-based support around safety, wellbeing, finances, and independence.
  • Conduct regular drop-ins across safe community spaces (e.g., housing departments, children’s centres).
  • Develop and maintain tailored support plans and risk assessments.
  • Promote co-production, encouraging service users to shape and evaluate the service.
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure joined-up, multi-agency support.
  • Support clients to access welfare benefits, legal support, and mental/physical health services.

THE CANDIDATE

  • You will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable individuals—especially those affected by domestic abuse.
  • Proven experience managing a complex caseload with a strong outcomes focus.
  • Skilled in risk assessment, safety planning, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Understanding of the effects of trauma and the dynamics of domestic abuse.
  • Able to work collaboratively with agencies like mental health teams, IDVAs, and local authorities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is essential.

THE CONTRACT

  • 20 Hours Per Week (days and hours flexible to suit candidate).
  • Home-based role, with travel around Hereford to provide support.
  • 3 Month Contract, covering permanent recruitment process.
  • The pay for the role is £17.39 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £14.83 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
