One of the largest housing providers in the UK is recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to provide housing-related support to vulnerable individuals across Norwich and their East of England South Patch, helping them achieve independence and secure long-term accommodation.
THE ROLE
- Supporting service users with housing and property management, ensuring a safe and successful move-on.
- Plan and deliver tailored support and safety plans.
- Provide a minimum of two hours of weekly support per service user.
- Maintain accurate records on the Resident Record Database.
- Conduct weekly property visits to ensure maintenance and cleanliness.
- Address and report any incidents of anti-social behaviour.
- Collaborate with Probation Services and other agencies.
- Assist service users in managing domestic tasks and life skills.
THE CANDIDATE
- Must have previous experience in a similar housing support role.
- Experience in lone working across a wide geographical area.
- IT literate and confident in maintaining digital records.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and benefits processes.
- Ability to work with vulnerable individuals and tailor support accordingly.
- Full access to a vehicle and willingness to travel.
THE CONTRACT
- 40 working hours per week (35 paid, 5 unpaid lunch).
- Rotational early and late shifts: 8am–4pm and 2pm–10pm.
- Occasional Saturday cover, with a Monday off in return.
- 3-month contract. £17.43 per hour LTD / £14.86 per hour PAYE (inc. holiday).
