We are working with a well-established provider of therapeutic children’s services to recruit a Children’s Home Deputy Manager for a solo placement home in Huddersfield.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team that is dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through high-quality, therapeutic residential care.Department: ResidentialEmployment Type: Permanent – Full TimeLocation: HuddersfieldSalary: Up to £36,000 per annum (inclusive of sleep night allowance)Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off (including sleep nights)What’s on Offer:

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Supervising, leading, and developing a team of care staff
- Ensuring care practices meet Ofsted requirements, quality standards, and legislative frameworks
- Providing therapeutic, child-centred care to young people who may struggle in larger group settings
- Promoting safeguarding, equal opportunities, and a safe, nurturing environment
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care home (within the last 5 years)
- At least 12 months’ experience supervising/managing staff in a care setting
- Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and quality standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- Applicants must be over 21 (industry regulations)
