A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for an Engineer – Streetworks Inspector to join their Network Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a highways/streetworks environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to carry out inspections of road and street works under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and ensure works are compliant with legislation and safety standards. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Inspecting street and road works to ensure compliance with NRSWA, permit scheme conditions, and safety legislation.
- Responding to highway incidents and making on-the-spot decisions to ensure public safety.
- Maintaining accurate digital records for inspections, permits, and reinstatements.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require NRSWA Operative or Supervisor accreditation or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence. The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Experience in highways, streetworks, or civil engineering inspections.
- IT literacy including Microsoft Office and mobile inspection reporting systems.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £21 per hour PAYE).
