A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Disposal & Acquisition Surveyor to join their Strategic Property Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property / asset management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to lead and manage the disposal and acquisition of land and property assets, supporting the Council’s capital programme and ensuring best value from a diverse property portfolio. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing a varied caseload of property disposals and acquisitions across commercial and operational assets
- Developing and delivering acquisition, disposal and investment strategies
- Undertaking financial appraisals and ensuring value for money on all transactions
- Leading negotiations with developers, agents, and stakeholders to secure best outcomes
- Providing strategic property advice to senior officers, members, and partners
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- Degree in Real Estate (or similar)
- Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- Significant post-qualification experience in property acquisition and disposal
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Strong knowledge of investment property markets and valuation
- Experience in landlord & tenant matters and complex negotiations
- Previous experience working within a local authority environment
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £500 - £525 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £400 per day PAYE).
