A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for an Estates Surveyor to join their Estates Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and estates management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to carry out a range of professional property and surveying activities, including lease management, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals, and statutory valuations—supporting the Council’s estate management priorities and contributing to the delivery of capital receipts and revenue savings.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Providing valuation, estates management and general property advice across council departments
- Undertaking lease renewals, rent reviews, and supporting marketing of voids and debt management
- Assisting in the acquisition and disposal of property, and contributing to strategic property reviews
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- A Level 6 qualification (e.g. bachelor’s degree) or equivalent work-based knowledge in a surveying/property discipline
- Demonstrable experience in estate management, valuations, and lease negotiations
