Disrepair Surveyor

A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Housing Repairs Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing maintenance and repairs environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to carry out comprehensive in-house technical surveying and inspections relating to repairs, maintenance, disrepair, refurbishment, and capital investment projects across council housing and public buildings.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Undertaking inspections (pre-, during, and post-works) including disrepair and voids inspections.• Preparing specifications and overseeing remedial works across domestic and public properties.• Providing specialist technical advice and support to internal departments and external contractors.The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require:• BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying• Full Driving Licence and access to vehicle• Understanding of the Disrepair ProtocolThe below skills would be beneficial for the role:• Ability to write Part 35 compliant expert reports• Ability to attend joint expert inspections and act as an expert witness in court• Previous experience in a local authority or social housing provider settingThe client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £250 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £200 per day PAYE).How to ApplyIf this position sounds of interest, email a copy of your up-to-date CV to .uk or call Amy at Service Care Construction on to discuss the vacancy in more detail.Also, if this role is not of interest to you, but you are looking for new opportunities, please still get in touch as we cover all construction-related vacancies across the region.Referral BonusIf this role is not suitable for yourself, but you know someone who may be interested, please pass on their details or forward these details to them.
