A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for an Asbestos Officer to join their Asset Management / Property Division team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a compliance or asset management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to support the delivery of a safe, effective asbestos management service across the Council’s domestic and corporate property portfolio, ensuring accurate data input and system maintenance using the Keystone asbestos register.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Inputting and maintaining asbestos-related data into the Keystone system
- Facilitating arrangements for property inspections and asbestos surveys
- Organising access and monitoring contractors for air testing, clearance, and remedial works
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- P402 qualification (minimum)
- Experience using asbestos registers such as Keystone or Technology Forge
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or 3 years’ experience in asset management or maintenance
- Public sector experience
- Knowledge of asbestos remediation and management practices
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £25 per hour PAYE).
