A North London local authority is seeking a Senior Property Lawyer to join its highly regarded in-house legal team and support an increase in high-level work. ROLE: Senior Property Lawyer
LOCATION: North London
RATE: £50-55ph umbrella / £48.46ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £43.24ph exc. holiday pay
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, 36 hours per week
Please note that this role would require office attendance 2 days per week.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice across a range of matters, with a particular focus on:
Commercial property transactions
Regeneration projects
Development work
You will be expected to manage a substantial caseload with minimal supervision, contributing to the authority’s strategic priorities while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Key Requirements
A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a current practising certificate
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial property, regeneration, or development law
Strong drafting, negotiating, and communication skills
Proven ability to work independently while being a strong team player
Experience of working in or with local authorities is desirable
