Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Forensic Accountant on behalf of a Top 100 Chartered Accountancy to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will play a vital role in uncovering financial irregularities, analysing complex financial data, and supporting legal proceedings through expert analysis and testimony.
The postholder will also assist the Director with report writing, valuations, and dispute resolution cases across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial records, transactions, and statements to identify discrepancies, fraud, or misconduct.
- Use forensic accounting techniques to trace funds, uncover hidden assets, and detect manipulation.
- Valuations
- Assist in preparing and analysing valuation models and reports for businesses across a wide range of sectors.
- Conduct research to support valuation assumptions and methodologies.
- Build and refine valuation models using methods such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flows (DCF).
- Contribute to enhancing existing valuation processes and methodologies.
- Disputes & Claims
- Assess financial damages and quantify losses in legal disputes and insurance claims.
- Prepare robust analysis supported by detailed financial evidence and cross-referenced findings.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare clear and concise reports outlining findings, analysis, and conclusions.
- Present findings and expert opinions to clients, legal counsel, and regulatory authorities.
- Support the preparation of exhibits and documentation for court proceedings.
Candidate Criteria
- ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant
- Minimum of 2 years\’ accounts experience within a practice environment
- Experience in valuations, dispute support, and investigations is highly desirable
- Strong financial analysis skills, including review of financial statements and in-depth accounts preparation knowledge
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
