Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Payroll Assistant to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will will play an important part in supporting the delivery of an accurate and efficient payroll service for the organisation.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their payroll experience in a busy and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Submit both permanent and temporary payroll data through the SAP payroll system.
  • Assist with checking and reconciling payroll output reports.
  • Respond to payroll queries from staff via email, telephone, and in person.
  • Support the wider payroll team in delivering an accurate, timely, and compliant service.

Candidate Criteria

  • Experience of working with a Payroll environment within Local Authority/Public Sector
  • Knowledge of PAYE legislation and statutory payroll obligations
  • Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail with data processing
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
