Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in Southampton, who are seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor to join their in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector work, offering a rewarding caseload and the chance to make a real impact on the local community.
Role: Housing Solicitor
Location: Southampton – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £45 – £50ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £39.75 – £44.10ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
The Role:
Provide advice and represent the council for public sector housing matters.
Focus on defending disrepair claims.
Handle the assessment on liability, quantum and causation, deal with disclosure, instruct experts and draft legal documents.
About You:
Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with experience in housing disrepair law.
Strong litigation skills, with the ability to manage cases from instruction through to conclusion.
Previous local authority or public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
Benefits:
Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
