Overview
Service Care Solutions is working alongside a highly regarded Local Authority, based in Leicestershire, which is recruiting for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed solicitor to make a real difference by supporting the council’s vital work in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.
Role: Childcare Solicitor
Location: Leicestershire – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £50 – £60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £44.10 – £52.79ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Responsibilities
- Provide advocacy and legal representation in the Magistrates’ Court and County Court, and when suitably experienced, in the Family Division of the High Court.
- Advise officers, members, panels, and case conferences on matters relating to child protection and other children’s services responsibilities.
- Handle your own Childcare Law caseload from start to completion.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in childcare or family law (public sector experience desirable).
- Strong advocacy skills and the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
