IT Operations Coordinator
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Coordinator to join our growing business. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Central Brighton that offers the opportunity to make a real impact on our organisation's IT service delivery.
You will own the day-to-day running of IT across service and change management, working hands-on with our service desk, managing our change backlog, and coordinating with technical leads and external partners to keep our IT operations running smoothly.
Service Management & Daily Operations
- Own the service desk: ensure it's being used effectively and processes are followed
- Run daily operational health checks (exception reports, logs, monitoring alerts, batch job confirmations)
- Review and maintain the service desk process, ensuring stakeholder communications are in place
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate day-to-day with technical leads and external partners
- Be the key point of contact for the business on IT matters
- Manage supplier relationships and escalations effectively
Asset & Process Management
- Own and maintain the asset register (hardware, software licenses, monitoring)
- Manage the starter/leaver process
- Coordinate IT documentation and help design processes appropriate to our size and maturity
Change Management
- Run the change intake process and manage the change backlog
- Chair the change prioritisation meeting and bring stakeholders to alignment
- Monitor change delivery with technical teams and suppliers
Governance & Risk
- Ensure security and compliance processes are followed day-to-day
- Escalate risks and strategic questions to the IT Leadership Team

- Line management of technical or delivery staff
- Technical architecture or hands-on engineering work
- Technology strategy or roadmap setting
What we’re looking for
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Proven IT service delivery or IT operations coordination experience, ideally ITIL-aligned
- Strong organisational skills and comfort running structured processes day-to-day
- Confidence chairing meetings and building consensus among stakeholders
- Hands-on and detail-oriented—comfortable working directly in ticketing and monitoring tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating face-to-face with the business
- Broad IT literacy to coordinate technical leads and hold suppliers to account
- Experience in a smaller or scaling business preferred
What’s on offer
Salary & Working Arrangements
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday working hours – no weekends
Full-time, onsite role based in Central Brighton
