Location: Bedford, covering MK, LU, and NN postal areas

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Service and Sales is a family-run business with over 50 years of history. We take pride in delivering excellent service to our customers and are now looking to expand our team. We’re seeking an experienced Domestic Appliance Engineer to join our growing company and provide high-quality repairs on a range of appliances, handling both warranty and private calls.

Your Role:

As a Domestic Appliance Engineer, you will:

1. Perform on-site repairs of domestic appliances.
2. Plan your daily work schedule efficiently.
3. Diagnose faults and determine the required repairs.
4. Identify part numbers for replacement components.
5. Clearly communicate with customers about repair details and any follow-up actions.
6. Accurately record job details using the tablet provided.
7. Collect payments for private work when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
2. Lives within the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire area or will need to be willing to travel to Bedford daily.
3. Proven experience in repairing all types of domestic appliances.
4. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Gas Safe qualifications (CCN1, CKN1, CKR1) are advantageous but not essential.
7. F-Gas qualification is an advantage but not essential.
8. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
