Domestic considerations: FTRS(HC) so no entitlement to accommodation although SLA may be taken 'at risk' and may be asked to vacate if no accommodation available for entitled personnel. Travel within the Div AOR and overnight duty to support the GOC to achieve his MS intent will be expected.

Position role: Second staff officer for policy and management of MS matters within the Division on behalf of GOC 1(UK) Div.

  • Assist with policy formulation and promulgation within the Div HQ and subordinate formations.
  • Advise the CoC on the implementation of any extant, new and emerging CM policy.
  • Deliver distributed CM and provide career advice to OF2 and OF3 within the HQ.
  • Liaison with MS5 for Grade 2 and 3 Staff posts, ensuring that JS and BBN are current and accurately reflect the needs of the HQ.
  • Administer, process and assure the OJAR for OF2 and OF3 within the Div HQ and those OF3 for whom the GOC is 3RO.
  • Maintain oversight and proper governance of distributed CM for Army Reserves within boundaries including Regional Appointment Boards and unit Promotion and Selection boards.
  • Provision of advice to the CoC on Promotion and Assignment Board Results.
  • Any other task directed by SO1 MS.
