Delivery of MI capability to Land and Joint Forces in order to contribute to UK operational success on established and contingency operations.
1. Responsible to CO for Bn Engagement, Recruitment and Retention.
2. Plan, manage and deliver the Unit Recruiting Plan, identifying and exploiting regional recruiting stakeholders. Linked – act as the Bn lead for Op INVECTOR, linking in with INT CORPS HQ.
3. Administer the recruiting and selection process, conducting Outreach activity as required in collaboration with higher formation headquarters and INT CORPS HQ (In line with Op INVECTOR).
4. Act as retention lead for Reservist Recruits undergoing Basic Training.
5. Act as interface between employer and reservist, providing policy D&G on contracts, entitlements and mobilisation. Similarly, act as the SME on Reservist employment policy, IOT best advise the CO and CoC re policy, IOT maximise reservist support.
6. Provide support to the Unit Welfare Officer and Unit Welfare Warrant Officer, re any Reservist welfare issues, including liaison with outside agencies, leading on WISMIS/ VRMIS as directed by CofC. BPT act as the welfare lead for Bn Reservist SPs.
7. Provide mobilisation support to unit staff, assisting Welfare Services in sp of soldiers, family and employers during and post mobilisation. Linked – work with Bn Ops to maximise opportunities for Reserve SPs to deploy and mobilise.
8. Line manage unit recruiting staff (ReMSOs), providing LM support to staff across the unit.
