Domestic Considerations: Evening and weekend work essential on occasions. Up to 35 nights separated service per year are a requirement of this post. Flexible/hybrid working may be available subject to the Commanders agreement, however, living locally is recommended. Must be prepared to support the JMC during UK Resilience Ops.
Position Role: Warrant Officer responsible for planning, delivery and assurance of UK Engagement (UK Engt) youth activities by HQ and units in accordance with GOC RC’s UK Engt Op Order.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support regional YOA with youth engagement activity including the supervision and training of the Regional Engagement Teams, ARes, Outreach Teams, Corps Engagement Teams, FA units.
- Plan, deliver and assure regional UK Engt (INFORM, UNDERSTAND, ATTRACT) with key youth Target Audiences (TA) in accordance with HQ RC UK Engt OpO including STEM, Sport, Education, Business, Third sector.
- Act as a Reporting Officer for RET personnel; mentor and support the YEWO (Res).
- Establish and maintain contacts with key stakeholders (KS) & Gatekeepers (GK), in order to deliver appropriate youth engagement activities. Deliver and present to KS & GK.
- Identify opportunities for youth engagement and lead on the delivery in line with current direction, initiatives and RPoC plan.
- Support use of the MIS Understanding Civil Engagement (UCE) tool by HQ and all units in the RPoC. Capture stipulated measures of effect (MOE) and data analysis.
- Conduct a minimum of 2 days UK Ops Training and be prepared to act as a member of MLO or RSOI team for UK Operations.
- Write risk assessments/admin instructions/use UCE/write BC.
- Other relevant and appropriate tasks and HQ North (Fwd) duties as directed.
